Thank you for this information! What is the realistic cost of living in Florida? Single guy with a one or two bedroom apartment.

Hi everyone, I am currently a nursing student in California. For the past few years I have wanted to move out of California, for personal reasons, once I am done with nursing school. Florida is on the top of my list of places to move to, specifically in the West Palm Beach area. Does anyone have any insight on what the salary is for a new nurse in that area? I have tried looking online but I am seeing different salaries. Also, what is the cost of living in that area? Any help would be much appreciated.

Did you guys attend Gurnick? I just started their ADN program at the Fresno campus. I plan on doing the RN to BSN program after I finish the ADN program.

I honestly thought I was the only one that felt that way. Initially, I was going to school for Physical Therapy. But after a few years of trying, I was unsuccessful in getting admitted into a PT school. I switched career paths to nursing now and I just started my nursing program. There are times where I ask myself, what have I gotten myself into? It is sort of reassuring that I am not alone in this. Good luck!

Hello everyone, I am currently in the ADN program at Gurnick Academy. Does anyone have an pointers in navigating through their program? Any feedback about the school will also be greatly appreciated.

First off, I am a guy and no I have not heard anything yet about my status on the alternative list.

I would go in person and talk to them but it is hard to do so when I live in Fresno and I work graveyard. My last name starts with K so I am not sure where I fall on that list. Depends on ow many people are on it and what their last name is LOL. Hopefully you got in another program elsewhere that is cheaper.

I called and emailed the advisor and (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) a week ago but I have not heard anything back as of yet. I am sure that they are busy with getting the currently enrolled situated. I will try again next week and see what they say.

Hi everybody, I just got the email on 3/4/2022 telling me that I was put on the Alternate list. Do any of you guys know roughly how many people they add onto the Alternate list?
