Thanks so much for the helpful wisdom. Hoping the states would grant me license even if it is disciplined in those other states.

    Licensure issues

Hello fellow nurses. Unfortunately, I have a complaint on my nursing license for neglect for something that was basically the fault of 2 CNAs under my care. I worked In LTC at the time and I was one nurse to 72 patients, so at the time, I had no idea this even happened. The issue happened 4/19 and I was fired from the LTC job shortly thereafter. I was informed about my complaint on one of the worst days of my life, 2/4/20. I paid thousands on lawyer and had an investigation on 4/22/21. I still have heard nothing, I’m sure partially due to COVID and delays. I now work as a case manager for an insurance company. I love my job, the pay is great, and best of all, I don’t have the stress of floor nursing or incompetent/harmful CNAs. But my job requires multi-state licensure, and my lawyer has advised I could get anywhere from censure to probation to nothing. I am just wondering, if I get discipline in my home state, will I be granted license in other states? Will it be license but also with discipline? I just want to keep my job that I love. I have been punished enough for this. I lost one job. I punished myself more than the board ever could, up to the point of having severe suicidal thoughts. I am a good nurse and submitted multiple letters from patients, 4 daisy award nominations, 6 CEUs I did to show remorse, multiple letters from colleagues and numerous awards from my current job. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
