  1. Thanks! Not a petition for early release; just to be entered when my contract date is up. I guess it’s routine.
  2. Hi all. I’m getting ready to petition to dismiss my monitoring program after completion. They are requiring me three reasons why the board should dismiss my probation. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Obviously one being I don’t pose a threat to the public. Thanks ?
  3. Congratulations! I am close to finishing six year contract (3 year had to repeat due to positive peth test) My question is roughly how long are you officially done after your contract date? Thanks!
  4. I had felony charges for diversion dropped to a misdemeanor after doing my counties Drug Court program. Also in the monitoring program for my state. Was wondering if anyone had any luck getting their charges expunged. Thanks!
  5. Don’t give up and let them win!! You can do this! Yes it’s expensive and a big pain in the butt! You worked hard to get your nursing license; don’t throw it all away. There were times I wanted to do the same. I know that you’re going through! Stay strong and try to remain positive. It’s hard but you got this!?
  6. I feel your pain! Same thing happened to me when I was two months shy of completing my 3 year program. Had to see an addiction counselor at $1,000 and restart the 3 year contract. Was ready to throw the towel in; but have been a nurse for thirty years. Didn’t feel like changing careers at my age. So I did what I had to do. Have less than a year to go; abstained from everything! You can do this! Sending you positive vibes?
  7. Hi. I had felony charges for diversion. Had to go to my states drug court program to get them reduced to a misdemeanor. Also in the monitoring program. Try not to beat yourself up too much. There is a lot of support on these boards. Some of us know exactly what you are feeling. You’ll get through this!❤️
  8. Hello all. I’m in a monitoring program for diversion. I had an interview where I did disclose that I was in the program. That’s it. Just got a call from HR with questions as to why I’m in program. Any advice?
  9. These monitoring programs are all one size fits all and in it to get as much money out of you. I’m glad you have an attorney. Good luck!
  10. Don’t be surprised if they test you more frequently and/or do Peth test which is a blood test for alcohol metabolites. This do this toward the end. I’ve also heard of people getting hair and nail tests done towards the end also. Good luck!
  11. I found employment at a doctors office. I also heard that dialysis hires nurses with stipulations. Hang in there!
  12. Yes I found employment as a nurse in a doctors office. I had narcotic restrictions which turned a lot of employers off. Don’t get discouraged. Drug court was tough; you can do this!! Good luck!
  13. I’m sorry you are going through this. I had felony charges for diversion and did one year of drug court. My drug court program would not allow me to work as a nurse. I worked at various non nursing jobs until I graduated from drug court. I’m also in the monitoring program. My charges were reduced to a misdemeanor after I completed drug court. Good luck.
  14. Make sure you notify your case manager and keep them in the loop
  15. Unfortunately these monitoring programs are designed as one size fits all. I’m sorry this is happening to you. You should be able to take your Wellbutrin. I would double check.
  16. If you have a prescription for the medication than that should be good enough for any drug screen
  17. I wouldn’t risk it. They are very harsh with positive screens no matter the circumstance. It’s just not worth the potential of having to start program over again. And yes this does happen. Happened to me!
  18. I’m in a monitoring program and only job I found was a doctors office
  19. This happened to me and I had to spend $850 for third party evaluator to keep me out of in patient rehab. I had to restart the program l; added three more years to my contract. Oh and this is two months before I was supposed to finish my contract. Never had a Peth test before. Only urines tests. It’s a horrible situation but don’t be too hard on yourself. Just keep moving forward?
  20. Good luck. I made a little mistake three days before my Peth test and was ordered to restart program which meant another 3 years was added and had to see an addiction psychologist for almost $1,000 to keep me out of in patient rehab. They don’t mess around!
  21. First, don’t do anything or report anything until you have retained a lawyer; specifically one that is familiar with the nursing board. I’m not from that state so I’m no help in recommending anyone. Just Google search lawyer for nursing board and see what comes up. Hope this helps and good luck!?
  22. Yes I believe ETG stays on your hair follicle for 90 days; can also be detected in blood through Peth test for 4-5 weeks. Hope this helps?
  23. I’ve worked in home health for about 7 years after I was burned out doing bedside hospital nursing. That’s the great thing about being a nurse is the variety of jobs. I would recommend putting a resume on Indeed. There’s are various jobs daily that pop up. I’m also an empath. Good luck!?
  24. It’s really up to the employer; I believe it’s supposed to be reported but sometimes if it’s a pre-employment screen, it’s not. It’s really a crap shoot. Marijuana stays in the system for awhile so I would advise your nephew to not partake for awhile and then do an over the counter test prior to see if he’s clean prior to applying for other jobs. Most jobs do a pre-employment drug screen. Good luck!
  25. I never had a probation period. I’m in Pennsylvania so I’m In PNAP and VRP which is the voluntary program that I had to join. Hope this helped?
