  1. Hello all, I am a new nursing student and was wondering how many of the nurses out there actually use medication or blister pack openers in clinical practice? I found that my fat fingers have trouble opening the small packs and want to avoid having to dispose of a medication because I dropped it on the med cart or the ground. I found some older topics on here where nurses use scissors or other plastic openers to get them open, but I am not sure how my professors would feel about carrying one around. Any input would be great!
