I am finishing my BSN degree and want to move into Midwifery. The question is should I disclose my experience as a midwife? I had been a midwife in my home country (European) for several years. I had hundreds of births and a ton of other relevant experience, but I am not sure if that really helps. I don't want to go into L&D because I'm tired to deal with secondary trauma. I don't want to do what I am told by a physician and to have no say in it and just helplessly witness how the perfect labor process is ruined by unnecessary treatment. So, I plan to go into public health, ideally into one of the programs for low-income pregnant women. And present this as relevant experience. Any thoughts? Anybody with overseas education/experience?
