The union file a grievance with management stating "Class Grievance on behalf of BUE (Bargaining Unit Employees) with pay issues r/t management not compliant with VHA regulation effective Jan 29, 2024. It is supposed to be automatic for any Nurse II that has at least one year of experience. We had to get our union involved to get it done. There were about 25 of us, but we were all approved.

Hello ALL, Didn't the nursing board get dissolved January 29, 2024? Promotions are now up to supervisors. I was a Nurse II and was promoted to Nurse III after dissolution of the board. Information is on this ALLNURSES site.

Hi Leslie, I did travel with a company back in 2011 and it was pretty good. I can't remember the name at this moment. But I would say address your concerns to them specifically and see what their response is. If it's customer service/getting paid on time/ or whatever, give them the chance to see what their side is. Speak to someone in leadership that can assure you. Get some things in writing in your contract.

Hello, It seems we're not alone. I have been a nurse for over 25 years. I made the mistake of not knowing the VA system when I came in and I was give a Nurse II. When I realized it should have been a III, it was too late. I've done multiple things. Gotten my DNP, joined the research council and did a project and presented it in a Poster presentation fair. I've volunteer with the homeless program. But my eval has not even been presented to the board and I'm not even sure why. I've asked my Nurse Exec, I've inquired to the Nurse IIIs and no real answer has been given. I'm lost. I feel like I will be stuck here forever. I only have about 8 years left before I retire and I want to start getting paid what I deserve. So anyone with advice. I appreciate.
