VA proficiency nurse III frustration & appeal

Hello Erica, I would appreciate a copy as well. Thank you. Ssbela2004@yahoo.com
  2. Do you submit your input for your proficiency every year?

Who do you answer too? the Nurse Executive or the physician you work with?

Write to the standards and how you have improved the project etc.

If you write to VACO, many times they side with the local station..

Several people have posted proficiency's on this site.. follow the chain back and see if you can find them..

good luck.. and get your board so you can see how it works..

VA proficiency nurse III frustration & appeal

Hello, It seems we're not alone. I have been a nurse for over 25 years. I made the mistake of not knowing the VA system when I came in and I was give a Nurse II. When I realized it should have been a III, it was too late. I've done multiple things. Gotten my DNP, joined the research council and did a project and presented it in a Poster presentation fair. I've volunteer with the homeless program. But my eval has not even been presented to the board and I'm not even sure why. I've asked my Nurse Exec, I've inquired to the Nurse IIIs and no real answer has been given. I'm lost. I feel like I will be stuck here forever. I only have about 8 years left before I retire and I want to start getting paid what I deserve. So anyone with advice. I appreciate.
