It’s great! I’ve just started taking the nursing core classes, and they’re no joke. But I would expect nothing less of any good nursing school. The teachers are tough, but are also there to help you succeed. In the end it doesn’t matter where you wen...

It’s the HESI, English and Math sections. They have you take review classes before taking the exam to prepare. Once you score high enough on the practice tests then they let you sit for the HESI. FSCJ students come to the classes lol.

@staysha92 same here. Pay the extra for a school I can immediately get into, or pay for extra classes I would have to take to stay enrolled at FSCJ should they not accept me. I chose to pay extra for the school I can get into, graduate earlier, and s...

Check CCNE & ACEN, Chamberlain may be accredited but their nursing program doesn’t seem to be. I’d rather pay for an accredited ADN than a non accredited BSN. http://directory.ccnecommunity.org/reports/rptAccreditedPrograms_New.asp?state=FL&...

@staysha92 it’s around $48k for the entire 2 year program, if you haven’t already taken any prerequisites. And that includes everything: scrubs, books, labs, a laptop if you want it, I mean everything. And yes, hospitals hire graduates.

@staysha92 I feel the same way. I’m going to Fortis College. I still need to complete a few prerequisites but I’m in the program already. They’re fully accredited by ACEN.

    FSCJ Spring 2020 Nursing Applicants

I’m going to Fortis. I’m sure a lot of people might have something to say about that, but I’m able to get in without the wait and worry about being accepted. The program is accredited. I might have to retake a class because they only take transfer cl...

Can I be a nurse without majoring in BSN?

I didn’t say they didn’t. You questioned how anyone could possibly get an ADN in 2 years, and I was simply responding that it’s possible.

    FSCJ Spring 2020 Nursing Applicants

I’ve decided against FSCJ because I would have to pay out of pocket for the last of my prerequisites instead of financial aid covering it, and because I wouldn’t even be able to apply until fall 2020. Then what happens if I don’t get accepted? I’ve w...

I only took it once, so I don’t know if it’s any different or not. I would just make sure to study whatever you didn’t do well on.

I took my HESI on Saturday, got an average of 97+% I think. ? Obviously all I cared about was the fact that I passed!

Can I be a nurse without majoring in BSN?

Everywhere? If you’re taking more than 2 years to get an associate degree then you may as well go for the bachelors. Personally I already have a BS, so I’m getting my ADN then going for my MSN.

Can I be a nurse without majoring in BSN?

That all depends on where you go. I’ve checked into 3 accredited programs and all 3 are 2 years including prerequisites. So it may depend on your location and the programs around you.
