Hi! I will be starting NKU's PMHNP program this March, in Spring 2. For 2021, Fall 1 will start 8/23 and Fall 2, 10/20. I can't find application deadlines for either but looking at the past 3 start dates I have seen, application deadlines seem to be 1-2 weeks before the start of the session. With that being said, I applied back in Nov. for the Jan 11 start and found out after all my items were submitted, that session was already full and my application would be moved to Spring 2 start. So apply as soon as you can. When accepted, your acceptance is good for one year. Good luck!

Hi, Very interested in the MDS field. Have been a nurse for almost 3 years in LTC and home care. I see MDS positions posted but all require at least a year of experience. I have interviewed for a couple and neither wanted to hire me without any experience but have offered alternate positions. I do not want to go into a LTC facility and "work my way" to MDS. I am currently a unit manager at one and it's not working out. Will taking classes or trainings be helpful? I see some locally and online but do not know what is best or even if it's worth my money at this point. Any helpful advice?
