  1. Can you confirm that CTC goes through the Summer? I'd prefer that. I can't seem to find anything about it on the site, and the other school to which I am applying looks like summers are off. I suppose the info session next week would also clear up...
  2. Chattahoochee Technical College ADN program 2020

From what I've seen on some older posts, it looks like a lot more people start posting after the application deadline. We'll see. Good Luck!
  3. Chattahoochee Technical College ADN program 2020

I'm applying. Just took the TEAS today. Have you completed all of the pre-reqs? Also, you may want to retake the TEAS to bump that score up some. Remember that is the minimum acceptable score. Most schools would make you retake, but I don't thi...
  4. What would you do?

Oh, well after about 20 years of retail mgmt, I'm glad I experienced almost NONE of that. Those situations certainly aren't everyday things. I will add that I didn't manage "Big Box". It was smaller commissioned sales, like wireless/telecom.
  5. What would you do?

    Associate Degree of Nursing
  6. Opinion on Study Manual for TEAS-6

I know this is an old thread, but for those looking. I agree that the Mometrix book goes into more detail, but I disagree that the practice tests are harder, well, at least the science portion. I'm scoring 88 to 90 on the science practice tests in ...
  7. What would you do?

I just took a similar path to pursue nursing. Gave up retail management making 80K plus, but I knew retail was no longer for me, and I needed to get out. I was with a fortune 50 company and couldn't imagine any other position I would even consider ...
  8. TEAS and HESI

I've seen you mention the ATI online review a couple of times, but what exactly are you referring to? I have the practice tests, A and B. Are you referring to the smartprep study package that is $250?
  9. Did anyone find that they had enough time for the TEAS?

Wow, you answered nearly 3 questions/minute, including reading long passages and math. This is quite impressive. (is there a sarcasm font?).
  10. Georgia Highlands ADN Nursing TRAD Fall 2019

Are you reapplying for 2020 or did you get into a different program? I'm applying for 2020 and take the TEAS on the 28th. I read earlier in the thread that you had a bachelor's degree (I do, as well); unfortunately, I don't think any of that is tak...
  11. PORTAGE LEARNING

What did you put on your nursing application for Portage? The app wants me to list all schools attended.
  12. PORTAGE LEARNING

How is the final? Is it like the pre-test or are questions pulled word for word from the tests?
  13. Georgia Highlands TRAD Fall 2020

Me. Wrapping up a A&P 2 this semester and will take the TEAS in the next month or so. Taking A&P 2 at highlands and finishing A&P 1 at portage. Has anyone transferred in any portage classes? I had completed both of these classes before,...
  14. Portage learning

It was pretty tough, but in the A&P class (not sure about micro), there are questions you have to answer within the module which gives you a good idea of what to study.
  15. PORTAGE LEARNING

I'm in A&P 1. I'm taking my time with it (posted earlier in the thread) to focus on my in person micro class. I think aspects of it are harder, for example, The labs are much more time consuming that my in person labs which normally finish rat...
  16. PORTAGE LEARNING

Also, be sure to review any questions you missed. I found a couple of errors in the grading. I don't mean "judgment call" type of errors, but really blatant errors. They were corrected after reaching out, but it makes me think that some type of so...
  17. Sick Days?

As a manager of people for many years, I've yet to meet anyone that didn't think they had legitimate reasons for being"sick". Most companies will give you enough occurrences to cover "legitimate" reasons, but it doesn't mean that they'll be excused....
  18. Georgia Highlands ADN Nursing TRAD Fall 2019

Dumb question alert...(obviously for next year) With the app deadline being April 1 and spring semester not ending until after that, I'm assuming you can still apply while finishing up the last prereq in the spring? Is that correct?
  19. Portage learning

Just following up and adding on to what moved-on said. I'm enrolled in A&P 1. I haven't taken a test yet, after about 2 weeks in and that's one of the issues with this type of course (for me at least). My plan was to do 1 module per week, but I...
  20. Why is there a 7 year limit on prerequisites for nursing?

I could have missed the intent of your post...haha
  21. Why is there a 7 year limit on prerequisites for nursing?

I don't think "write a check" sentiment is correct because most schools don't care where you took the class or require you retake the class with them. I suppose we could debate how serious the intent of a person is if the classes were taken 10-20 yea...
  22. Why is there a 7 year limit on prerequisites for nursing?

I took both A&P classes over 10 years ago and I'm prepping for nursing school now. I'm retaking A&P and guess what? I remember very little, but I can probably pick it up quicker. I would honestly question the schools that don't have this r...
  23. PORTAGE LEARNING

Replying to follow. I just started A&P. I had previously taken A&P, but they've expired for some of the programs I'm interested in. I'm definitely going to make use of the 30-day cancellation if it doesn't work out. I don't think it is g...
  24. Portage Learning in Metro Atlanta

Just following up. Have you started any Portage classes or gotten any more info?
  25. WGU RN to BSN

Thanks. Yeah, mine were a while back. I took a Chemistry sequence, but I doubt I could test out of it that quickly now. Haha.
