A Question About CCNE Accreditation
Good Evening, I will be attending Unitek College’s RN BSN program in the near future. I reside in the Bay Area, CA. Unitek College holds CCNE Accreditation for their RN BSN program in their Fremont campus, which I believe has existed for at least a couple years now. Around last year they began offering the same RN BSN program at their Concord campus, which is where I have been accepted to. Upon checking the CCNE website’s listings, I noticed it only lists the original Fremont campus under the accredited institutions page. Does the CCNE Accreditation extend to other campuses belonging to the same school which also begin offering the program? I may be over thinking this but it came to mind and I just wanted to make sure. Thanks for your time.

Nationally Accredited NP programs?
Hello and thank you for taking the time to read my post. Excuse me if this is a stupid question. My question is in regards to the specifics of university accreditation levels (national and regional). I was wondering if there is such a thing as a nationally accredited Nurse Practitioner program. Now, I understand that nursing programs have their own specific accreditation bodies (CCNE, for example). My question is directed towards the actual university hosting the nursing program, are there any out there that are at a national accreditation level and host an NP program? (In-person, online or otherwise) I am not sure if this exists.. But if so it would be great if you could point out which ones! Thank you for your time and I look forward to reading your responses.

Eagle Gate College
Hello everyone, I was hoping to delve a little deeper into a discussion regarding Eagle Gate College. I know there are a few similar posts already but I wanted to talk a little more specifically about this college. Here is the background info. I am California-based, on the verge of completing a local LVN/LPN program, and I am doing my homework to find the best program for me to continue on to RN afterwards. I attend a for-profit tech/vocational school with an accelerated LVN program. We were told about our school’s expansion school, which happens to be Eagle Gate College in Utah, as a cheaper alternative for an accelerated BSN program. I have already spoken to the school regarding pricing and everything and it seems like a good deal. However, upon looking at the reviews of the school, a few of them said that they were unable to do anything with the degrees/certificates they obtained at Eagle Gate due to accreditation. On the flip side, a few more recent reviews read as positive experiences from the school. So finally to my questions, I am by no means an expert on the whole accreditation system, I know there are different levels but I am unsure how that whole thing works. 1) For those of you who are more savvy with the education/accreditation system, will a BSN from Eagle Gate College be recognized by employers/other schools? As a bonus question, 2) Will a BSN from Eagle Gate be transferable to other states? Like if I decide to move back to California after? If you’ve made it to the end thank you for reading it all! And thanks in advance for any replies! I am seriously considering making the move from California and getting into this program, so I just want to make sure I’m not shooting myself in the foot.
