nikkiim226 - looks like our schedules will vary by location, but here was my timeline in case it's helpful Monday: Phone call from 206 area code to schedule health screenThis was followed by a confirmation email from the Washington based HR contact who's been in touch since my hire. The email included our orientation week schedule and a request to contact our LCM Torrance department managers regarding any on-site (non-virtual) requirements Wednesday Had my health screen at St Josephs, Burbank (which was very quiet and almost empty on the ground floor). The lobby screener said their RN Residents had already been onsite for orientation this week. Received an email from my unit manager that said the LCM - Torrance education team would send a detailed email regarding orientation schedule for 4/13- 4/20, including any on-site details.From what I understand our mostly virtual orientation is 4/13- 4/17. HTH ?

Hello everyone and thank you for this helpful thread! I've been hired by Little Company of Mary Torrance in one of their 8 float pool positions. We start 1 week from today but I haven't heard back about the health screening. I've called and emailed the Seattle based HR onboarding contact but can't reach her. Has anyone else at LCM Torrance had their screening yet? Thank you and blessings to all during this pandemic ?

My admission letter came USPS dated July 5th and arrived July 7th. (As I said earlier I'm fairly close- 12 miles away)

I'll be commuting from 12 miles away. Past cohorts have done a carpool from the Harbor Gateway Transit Center at the 100 and 91 freeway interchanges. If you leave around 6AM it's typically 18-24 minutes (per google). I would definitely be up for that if there are others near that interchange. I was a student at USC for awhile which is adjacent the MSMU Doheny campus so one option is to search USC off campus housing at College Confidential to see where their students typically rent. Can do the same for the MSMU Doheny campus. Since safety in the surrounding community is typically part of the conversation at College Confidential (when it comes to USC at least) here's their map of 24 hour patrol if that's helpful as well. A question for all- have you completed your Healthcare Provider or Professional Rescuer CPR courses yet? I've had an online and hands on skill session in my cart from the AHA but don't wan't to enroll in the wrong course.

Helloello and others who are waiting...so maddening not to know, especially as it gets closer to August. Frustration is normal and completely understandable! Given what JD17 explained, the good news is that the portals have not yet been updated with a decision because there is still a possibility you'll be accepted. Would imagine that some applicants are still waiting on Concordia which means they may hold off until the deadline of July 18th to accept or decline the initial wave of offers. So as tortuous as it sounds, July 19th may be the next date to look toward. I've also noticed in previous threads that many who post they were not accepted on their initial application seem to be admitted in the next cohort. So even if this isn't a yes, Spring 2019 may be a go. Here's to remaining hopeful and confident that we will ALL be admitted, if not now, in the near future to the program that best supports our mission to become the best RNs we can be.

I was accepted as well. Praying all hear good news!!!! BTW the link in the online acceptance letter didn't work for me. The instructions were: "To confirm your enrollment, visit your MSMU Admit Portal http://www.msmula.force.com/portal and following the steps under "Secure Your Spot." In order to gurantee your class space for the fall semester, we will need to receive your non-refundable $400 tuition deposit by the deadline posted in your admit portal." Instead I scrolled to the bottom of the letter to "reply" and chose "accept", then went on to pay using the prompts.

Sorry for the delay, was locked out of my account. I had my interview. Was scheduled to be with a fellow applicant but I was told some people declined (more slots!) or had to reschedule. The interview was fairly short- roughly 10 minutes. There were 3 very friendly people on the panel and they asked about 5 questions. Nothing to study for, just be yourself, and answer from the heart. Most were focused on strategies for survival in a rigorous, all consuming program (self care, what difficulties or challenges you anticipate etc.). So far nothing is final and everyone still has a chance. Prayers!!!
