I know. This had me all confused because I was told it's abandonment since I left the building without telling her amidst the storm.

I forgot to mention I handed off my 2 weeks notice but they fired me instead.

I was speechless. I wish I knew that my request was granted. All I want was a compromise.

Unfortunately I don't have one.

DON said I left the building without telling her during the Snowstorm when everybody stayed. I asked her though if I can stay and have the day off the next day which she refused.

That's the thing that made me confused, which part did I abandoned the patient if I gave the report already.

Worse comes to worse I will probably do that.

The problem is, this Nursing Home does not have a proper HR Department so I do not really know who to talked to.

It was the DON who accused me of the abandonment, she was also the same person whom I asked if I can do a double bec of the snowstorm and have the next day off which she refused.

That is why I'm confused. They fired me, and now told me that they are going to report me to the BON for this. I was the one who wanted to stay that day and have at least a day off the next day which they denied.
