   the requirement is not to be obligated to take the break; its a federal law that they have to allow you time to break. but if you don't take it because you worked they are legally supposed to pay you...

   Don't feel bad... you picked a field that has so many other options. when I graduated I was dead set on working in a hospital; and I loved it; but it didn't last long; and I got cut from that spot....
