  1. CSUN ABSN Spring 2019

They didn't interview the last cohort before the hiatus, but I think it's always fair game
  2. Los Angeles City College FALL SUMMER 2018 | allnurses

Also, when are the two classes? The Management of Assaultive Behavior and the Fire Safety class? It doesn't say on the materials I was given. I'm really tempted to just wait for Spring to do a non-lottery school. I hate the idea of spending this much...
  3. Los Angeles City College FALL SUMMER 2018 | allnurses

And I'm out of town Saturday - Wednesday too ahhhh
  4. Los Angeles City College FALL SUMMER 2018 | allnurses

Not sure I want to fork out $100+ to 'maybe' get in. And I work a double tomorrow so I don't know how I'd be able to get to my doctor. I have a TB 2-step from about a year ago and blood work from a few months ago. The form can get done but the other ...
  5. Los Angeles City College FALL SUMMER 2018 | allnurses

On the medical packet (attachment B) it says a 'complete physical examination including lab work is required at a minimum of every two (2)'....every 2 what? Does anyone know? I got the packet TODAY! Don't know the 5 of us who got it today can get thi...
  6. CSUN ABSN Spring 2019

There's also the CSULA ABSN that starts in Summer! You have to be done with the prereqs tho. Many from this past cohort finished their courses in the fall and just waited for their transcript to show the final grades before turning in their applicati...
  7. CSUN ABSN Spring 2019

That makes absolute sense! For those still finishing up your sciences, you'll still get your shot soon!
  8. CSUN ABSN Spring 2019

Everything online only says Spring 2019. I'm sure they would be happy to answer that question if you called and asked! I think it's one step at a time right now because it's the first cohort back after the hiatus.
  9. CSUN ABSN Spring 2019

Did those people end up getting accepted into CSUN ABSN program? The website states priority will go to those who can demonstrate they have met requirements. I would say that if anyone is completing one of the science prerequisites it is likely they ...
  10. CSUN ABSN Spring 2019

So weird thing just happened - did the online application and went to print it after I had already paid and submitted it. There are definitely sections that it did not have me fill out that are now just blank (College Prep, High School, etc) and it a...
  11. CSUN ABSN Spring 2019

    I finished mine fall 2017!
  12. CSUN ABSN Spring 2019

Are you all leaving this application checklist empty (not marking it up...obviously we should fill in the top portion)? I can't tell if its for US to mark off our stuff, or if its for them to use as they go over our applications.
  13. CSUN ABSN Spring 2019

The volunteer docs are there in the apply section...it's most likely not required, but if this program is as competitive as other ABSNs it's probably the only thing that will set us apart from one another. I don't see anything about the TEAS, but tha...
  14. CSUN ABSN Spring 2019

I got the program I did volunteer work for to do an audit of my hours on official letterhead that I'll be sending in with my application materials. Were you able to send your TEAS? I couldn't find it as an option for schools to submit my scores to.
  15. Los Angeles Valley College Nursing Fall 2018

No schools will be 'easy'. Nursing school is difficult for a reason and you will have people's lives in your hands. I saw your post on LACC's board too. The programs will be similar as they have district, state, and national requirements.
  16. Los Angeles Valley College Nursing Fall 2018

It's crazy that only one person on here has heard anything.
  17. Los Angeles Valley College Nursing Fall 2018

Nothing here. And I sent my TEAS too (without being prompted to but whatever)
  18. Los Angeles Valley College Nursing Fall 2018

I just called and they said they are currently contacting people who have indicated they have already taken the TEAS. She told me that I could feel free to send my results even tho I haven't been invited to send them yet. I would rather spend the $27...
  19. Los Angeles City College FALL SUMMER 2018 | allnurses

Okay, but if you have health insurance (which you need) it's mostly covered. My physical was free and my blood work was a $15 copay
  20. Los Angeles Valley College Nursing Fall 2018

I hope you get your first choice!!! I started at #18 but havemoved up to #4 so it's not a sure thing, but a fairly decent shot. I would be tickled pink with LACC or LAVC honestly! I just want to start already :-)
  21. Los Angeles City College FALL SUMMER 2018 | allnurses

Your primary care physician should be able to do the physical and titer tests (I'm assuming you'll need those - havent been accepted yet myself but those are pretty standard).
  22. Los Angeles Valley College Nursing Fall 2018

Omg yay!!! Congrats! I'm sure you'll get in then! Seriously debating if I should wait or just send mine!
  23. Los Angeles Valley College Nursing Fall 2018

Yes I took it in December, scored >90%. I was #1 on the waitlist for the ABSN program at CSULA (I only have volunteer experience and not licensed experience)...but their program just started :-( I'm currently alternate #4 at LACC from their lotter...
  24. Los Angeles Valley College Nursing Fall 2018

Agreed. I'm sure they tell people that so they don't panic waiting to hear something. Hopefully acceptances/invites to send TEAS results start going out soon...and hopefully someone who gets one comments here!! Have you already taken your TEAS?
  25. Los Angeles City College FALL SUMMER 2018 | allnurses

Hoping there's still a chance for me then! I'm alternate #4 now!
