  6. RN to BSN or MSN prior degree GPA

Here in Ohio RN to MSN programs are often granted based on "portfolio" which means your full academic history as well as work history. You often will not gain admission right out of your ADN program, they want that work experience first. If I were y...

  9. It's your fault that my child broke her glasses!

It sucks that she yelled at you, but I bet she is just beside herself with frustration. Glasses aren't cheap an insurance only covers a pair or two a year.

  11. Spider bites

I have 6-8 gr. The first kid I would send home, second kid I might call home to notify the parent but I would leave it up to them if they would go home. Also, where I live spiders do not often bite, so unless there is considerable swelling or some si...

The guidance that I always received for biohazard vs regular trash is is something is saturated with blood it goes in a red bag. Of course sharps go in sharps etc. but this was the rule for blood.
  16. INSTANT MOM

I'm sorry you are upset over this. I tend to overthink everything about interactions, especially in stressful situations. I bet the other nurse never thinks twice about it.
  17. Summer 2018 Plans?

Oh, I almost forgot, I am training for a half marathon in September, so that will be a big part of my summer!
  18. Summer 2018 Plans?

I am working PRN at the hospital as a 1 to 1 care companion (sitter) and task assist for psych. I may go on a two week road trip with my mother, although I am not set on that. Every year in June we go to a board game convention, so that is for sure h...
  19. Health Aide Duties?

Check your state's delegation regulations. Also, the job duties vary widely between states and districts. In some schools you may be alone in the building and answer to a district RN, or as Nutmegge stated you may work closely with a licensed nurse i...
  20. I need a hug. <slightly off topic>

Thank you all for your kind words. Commencement was whole different kind of disaster than I imagined. But my family came, was kind, and it is over. Now I get to start preparing for the next leg of this journey.
  21. Happy Mother's Day!

    Thank OD!
  22. I need a hug. <slightly off topic>

  24. C'Mon Now!

We use lock laces for my ASD 9 year old. More for us than him, he is not bothered by untied shoes and the constant stopped to tie them. We are.
  25. Lead poisoning!

The worst thing about monday all week weeks is that every day then also has the fatigue and longing of a Friday.
