Helene Fuld classroom environment and commute

Hey there I sent you a PM with my email address.

Oh yes! If you could send the schedule that would be great! I'm just afraid of not getting the admissions packet and losing my place. I guess I'll just have to wait until after the holidays before I start harassing them again lol

I only took the Teas. I didn't hear about any writing test. The school has been pretty unhelpful with information about starting the program. I emailed them and they responded saying I would get the admissions packet after the holidays and that the official classes start feb 4th I was hoping they'd tell me the times and days for the pre req classes so I could organize my work schedule around it. But the person just said to wait for the packet. Also they didn't say anything about the challenege exam so when I called and asked today they told me it's on the 21st. Which is too late to study for now. So I'll prob be taking chem math and the nursing skills class now. Did you start the program in feb as well? If so do you know how the class schedule is for the pre reqs?

I did send an email and I plan on going there tomorrow morning to speak to them. Thank you so much for posting. I'd have never known! Did you work as an LPN before starting your classes there? I think it's great that everyone was willing to help one another. I'm hoping that I do get to meet some great people and hopefully have long lasting friends. I'm working as an LPN right now I do wish I had some close nurse friends to share and vent about my day. I'm alittle excited and also scared about starting. It's going to be tough and my entire life for a year will be studying and working hard. It will definitely not be fun

Thank you so much! I waited a week before my exam I hope it's not to late. I'm going to email and call them first thing Monday. Yes I'll be starting in February. I'll be going for the ADN program as well. How are your classmates? I wasn't too fond of the people in my LPN program. Not very helpful and very competitive. Did you take the chem and math courses? I was thinking of trying for the challenge exam but I feel like it's too good to be true and they might make it harder just to get more money out of the students

I actually didn't get my letter yet. Still waiting. I took my test a week ago and checked my scores online and saw that I met the passing requirement. How long did it take before your letter came in? Are you on the ARN program? How is your experience there so far?
  7. Posting because most of the threads on HF are years old. Just got my Teas 6 results and I passed! Waiting my admissions packet. Was wondering if anyone can share their experience about the school? How were the classmates? Did you make any friends during the program or was everyone competitive and only stuck to themselves? My commute is about 1hr 30min tops. How do you think that would affect me? Was the school helpful in getting jobs? I've heard it's hard for ARN to find jobs these days without connections. Any other info about your experience is much appreciated

    Helene Fuld Challenege Exam

Just got my TEAS 6 score and I passed! Still waiting my admissions packet to come in so a little clueless on what's next. I am thinking of taking the challenge exam and was wondering if anyone has any info on it? What textbook do you use for the math, chem and nursing classes? Has anyone ever taken the challenge exam or knows of someone who has?Any info would be great!
  9. Hello im in a similar situation. Did you ever get accepted to a nursing school?
  10. Curious if anyone was expelled from a 4 year college (not nursing school) and decided to study ahead and apply to nursing school and got accepted? I'm in a similar place at the moment.

Transcripts to apply for Helen Fuld

I started off attending a SUNY school and was expelled for attacking a student because of PTSD at the time (I was assaulted). I couldn't appeal the expulsion because I was severely depressed so it remained. My LPN school didn't care about previous transcripts. But I'm trying to apply to LPN-RN programs. Should I disclose my previous transcripts and my expulsion? Or should I just leave it blank and say I never attended a university before?

    Should I quit?

Do I give a two week notice or do I just quit and no longer show up? Yes I'll look into that.

    Should I quit?

New grad LPNand just started at a LTC Facility. I think there are many red flags here. I asked my supervisor to show me how to do an enema and she said to ask an aid or to falsely document that I did OR that the patient refused. That seemed like a huge red flag to me. Also during my training the person training me left hours before the shift leaving me alone on the unit as nurse in charge. She then lied to the supervisor saying she gave night insulin to some patients. But never documented or told me she did so that was a huge confusion. The nurses here said it was a good place to work since they don't scrutinize here but I feel like that leaves room for mistakes. I'm not comfortable with not giving a patient medication and saying I did. In addition I was told I would be offered a full time schedule but they put me down as per Diem. Idk if I'm exaggerating here but I feel like my license is at jeopardy at this place. Do you agree?

    Low salary same work

New grads in some places are getting $25-27 an hour. This place is currently paying $24/hr
