I'm not sure I understand how this relates to loan repayment. Why would patients sending letters to HRSA determine nursing loan repayment? HRSA funds tons of other programs. Maybe your company is referring to one of the other programs.

That's not the case. They use the income your employer reports on the verification form. They have no way of knowing your spouse's income or that you file jointly without having a tax return/W2 and that information is not on your credit report.

Zigandej - I haven't received a signature either. The others who received awards July 3rd didn't get a signature until around August 15th. That's over a month so I'm assuming for our sake they're running behind.

We're referring to two different HRSA loan repayments. The Nurse Corp looks at DTI ratio also awards RNs, nurse faculty, NPs, CRNAs, etc. It pays 60% of your qualifying loans versus the other gives a lump sum of 50k.

My guess is they're waiting to do NPs last because they are the biggest group. It appears that they are going group by group (i.e. faculty, RNs, etc.). Probably easier to knock out the smaller sections. I suspect NPs will start hearing back soon.

Nah. I think they are really behind this year. They were still doing credit checks into early June. Based on previous boards that's 1.5 to 2 months later than usual. I bet in the next week or two we start seeing awards left and right.

Yes. It's your student loan debt divided by your base salary. Tiers are only numbered 1-4. And we are not sure or at least I'm not of the lowest tier awarded because it seems very few awards have gone out at this point.
