What are some professional organizations you belong to, I wanted to find some that weren't too expensive to belong to. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated....Thanks!

I belong to ANA and AACN (critical care) and the Midwest Nurse Research Society. They were under $200 each.

APIC (infection Control); NLN (National League for Nursing) in the past; Sigma Theta Tau

I don't even know what I pay for APIC & Sigma, but they do mean something to me for my resume so I continue my memberships.

The biggest one for OB nurses would be AWHONN. I think it's a few hundred dollars a year. Expensive enough that I let my membership lapse several years ago. I also belong to ILCA (lactation professionals), as well as SOCRA (for research professionals - doesn't apply to OB).
