Hi, ive just completed the 5 page Verification of Education form down loaded from the Vermont site, I have been informed by my English nursing school that they will send a copy of my transcript including the hours I have done in each area, However, they will not complete the pages 4 and 5 hours grid section as they state all the information is already given in the Transcripts.
My University say they have processed nurses to the Vermont Board and this has been acceptable. Has anyone applied for verification to Vermont whos school refuses to complete the grid section? and have the BON fired the application back at you? any help appreciated xx

I have applied to Vermont and at first the Uni holding my old school of nursing records could not break down the hours as Vermont wanted. I had to go through CGNFS but in the mean time the Uni somehow managed to break down the hours in the application to CGFNS - which is maddening as it has delayed the process by several months.
I should however make it clear that my print off transcripts from the Uni did not break the hours down and if yours do they may accept them, but I would go back to the Uni and ask them again just to complete this section.
I think Vermont are becoming more strict with all applications, things have changed since I first applied last Oct / Nov.
Thanks Jane, Vermont appear to want individual areas broken down into hours, ie Anatomy and Physiology - my uni said that to do that they would have to go through my timetable and note the individual tuition hours, which if they had to do for each person applying, they would have to employ a member of staff just to do that!!! they have however given hours for each clinical area and broad sections of theory such as Nursing 605hrs theory but not stated what was covered! I really think Vermont are going to take one look and throw it back at me! Where are you up to in the process? have you got your ATT yet, im unable to PM at moment as ive not got enough posts x
That was similar to my first set of transcripts that were sent and my Uni said something similar. They said the sylabus changed every five years and they were looking at how to address this as I was not the only one who had been asked for a further breakdown. In hindsight I wish I had gone through CGFNS from the beginning, yes it is more expensive but it would have saved me four months. I know we don't need this service for Vermont but I think now that I have the CES for future referrence if requesting licensure in other states?
I started this process last Sept and yesterday I noticed on the website that I had ATT - I have registered with Pearson Vue so am just waiting to see what happens next. I think I get an e-mail telling me I can schedule?
I didn't realise you needed to have a set amount of posts to be able to send PMs - let me know when yo can as I will send you my e-mail address.

Jane unless you are premium/plat member you have to have 15 posts before you can send pm's. That is a recent change to the site.
You should get email of your ATT so make sure you keep an eye on your junk mail folder
Thank you - I wasn't sure and didn't like to ask as I'm sure it has been mentioned a million times already.
