How can they obtain such number. They apply to the state dept of Medicaid service however all HHA must have RN supervision/oversight. I'm not sure HHA can get a Medicaid ID number or if HHA services must be billed incidental to RN supervision services. I know RNs can obtain Medicaid provider numbers and in many states LPN can also (but not all). What state?

Aug 6, 2014 If the client does not want to do private pay, they should receive their services through a Medicare/Medicaid Home Healthcare Agency. The agency will staff the HHAs and provide the RN to do the required supervisory visits. HHAs cannot independently bill Medicaid, as far as I am aware.
