After reading all this drakonian things about CUNY ( gpa restr., failed classes) - I started to search for private schools, but don't seem to find many. So far I found Beth Israel nursing school and LIU. I would appreciate if you post what you know about private schools in NYC, I am sure it will be helpfull to a lot of applicants!
Many thanks!

I am going to say this in the nicest way possible.... All nursing schools have requirements and standards as far as admissions go. Naturally some are more lenient (or, forgiving, if you will) than others, but none of them are a piece of cake. I may be wrong, but I do not know if any that let you fail more than one class and stay in the program. Granted, public schools are a bit harder to get into to (because they cost less) so of course they can be more selective and have a much bigger pool of applicants.

Maybe you meant to say non-private schools. As far as I know private schools costs more and they're not AS selective.

Private schools cost more than CUNY/SUNY but they take more applicants then Suny/Cuny. SUNY/CUNY schools take less applicants and are way cheaper.
Both of these private & public will have no problem kicking anyone out who fails a class. They are both extremely competitive & all nursing programs are tough.
I'd apply to both, private & public.
LIU, Adelphi, Molloy, Pace
Long Island College, Beth Israel, St. Vincent, (Queens, Staten Island)
, more on the BON website.
Good Luck
