2 previous DUI's in SC....will this prevent me from being licensed as an RN?

Hi everyone,

I recently graduated from a nursing program here in SC and was cleared to sit for my NCLEX (which I passed :)). However, the state has yet to approve my license, as they are waiting to decide on my case.

My background is two previous DUI's; one in 2001 (not guilty) and another in 2003 (found guilty in 2005). I have been free of any trouble ever since but am worried that this will prevent me from being licensed as an RN in SC.

Does anyone have any experience or advice on this matter? I've tried contacting the BON and all I get is "Sir, every case is considered indivdually" (with a hefty amount of attitude, might I add) from the employee assigned to my application.....it's so frustrating. Any advice or words from experience would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
