I am starting my science prereqs this summer and need a basic bio to start. Anyone who has gone to Merritt or any of the other Peralta schools, would you recommend Bio 10 (intro to bio) or bio 24 (basic anatomy and physiology) as a precursor to bio 2, 3 and 4? Bio 24 seems like the obvious answer, but I also feel like it would be good to have an overall basic bio class too.
Any advice would be really appreciated!!!

I go to Peralta colleges. I just took the Bio 20A and B route which didn't require any bio prerequisite. I felt it saved me a step. My high school Bio was just fine for the A/P combo classes and chem 30A.
Thank you for the advice! 20A is only offered in the evenings during the summer semester and I need to stay home with our baby since my husband works at night. I also haven't taken biology in about 15 years so i think a refresher is in order! :)
Makes sense. In that case I would suggest general Bio, because you will cover everything from Bio 24 and more in the full semester A and P classes.
