The only current prerequisite for thr ASN program is anatomy and microbiology....correct? I had spoken to an advisor about this and cannot remember what they told me...

They require psychology, math and others as well but the A&P and Micro are the two that have to be done prior to taking nursing courses

You have to be within 8 credits of finishing your pre-reqs before you are eligible to take a nursing course/exam. I think it used be 10 credits, but they recently changed it to 8. A&P and micro have to completed before the nursing portion can start. However, you can take Transition to RN at any time. If you are an LPN, you may be exempt from taking Health Safety if you have had that within the last five years in your LPN program. You can download the ASN/AASN Degree Chart on Excelsior's site to see exactly what credits are required.

You have to take A&P and micro before the nursing courses and you will need Information Literacy. If you have been an LPN for less than 5 years the Essentials of Nursing Care Health DIFFERENCES is waived. You will have to take Health Safety.
Thank you for correcting me:yes: You are right it is health differences. I knew that but I don't know why I put health safety (lots of study and little sleep!). Glad you caught that;)
