Prep Palpitation, need another review. HELP!

Published

Hello Everyone,

Please I need your view about the Maryann Hogan comprehensive review for nclex-rn. The book was published last in 2011 and from most review the book is more concise and better than Saunders.

My question - Is the Maryann hogan review still good for 2015 nclex-rn?

Is there anyone out there who has used the book for 2014 or 2015 nclex-rn exam? how was the review book pls?

Am getting palpitations from reading Saunders because the book seems overwhelming with too many information.

THANKS.

Here is the best thing I can tell you. You need to take each and every "practice exam" that is either found in the back of the books, or on the CD. Grade them. See what questions you did not get right. Take the questions you did not get right, and read up on the rationale, and go back to your fundamentals book and review.

There may be 80% of the questions that you get correct, do not need as in depth of a review on. So do a little index card on those things, and concentrate your efforts on what you are not clear on. Make an index card with those as well. Then, if you are waiting in line, have a few minutes here and there review those cards--over and over. This does NOT replace your in-depth study time, just adds to it.

At this point, I would concentrate on the practice tests, and hone in on specifics.

Best wishes!
