For those using the PIPP for Pain Assessment, do you score using gestational age at birth or corrected gestational age? Thanks!

We use N-PASS, not the PIPP, but we also use corrected gestational age.

We use corrected age. How often do you score babies and what is the population of babies (ie. on babies using analgesics or all babies??)

Corrected age. We score a minimum of once a shift if nothing is going on, more frequently with meds, procedures, etc.
We changed a few years back to scoring all our babies Q1H. Joint commission wasn't just interested in pain scores with vital signs - they wanted pain scores after intervention. We kept forgetting to do this, so our boss just changed it to Q1H for all babies, regardless of their condition. This way we can show an improvement within an hour of the intervention. Most of the kids score whatever the baseline for their gestational age is, unless there is something going on.
