pregnancy/diabetes nurse interview

Published

Hi. I would greatly appreciate it if I could interview a maternity nurse, or any nurse, about her/his experiences with patients who are pregnant with diabetes. This is for a school assignment. I would be happy to compensate you $20 for your time.

What exactly are you looking to discover? And of course, consider the source (an anonymous website where anyone, licensed nurse or not, may answer you!).

I believe that your assignment is meant to require a face to face interview with someone who can be verified as an actual nurse. Call your local hospital's HR department and ask them to help you identify a candidate to interview.

Another option - call local OB/Gyn offices, ask if they have an RN on staff, and talk to her - ask if you can meet her for lunch or coffee, and then interview her then. Holy moly, if someone offered me that, I would jump at the opportunity! How fun!

This is actually the first time I've WANTED to grant a student interview request at Allnurses, as I have a LOT of experience with pregnant diabetic patients. But OP, I would be doing you a disservice. It will be a much richer experience if you find someone local and do this interview in person. Plus, the community contacts you will make will only aid you later, as you are looking for your first job.

Thanks guys. But the interview is set up in a way that it is approved to do through email. Again, if anyone is interested, please reach out.
