Right now there aren't many jobs for IENs in Canada right now, unless you speak fluent French and can work in Quebec. Toronto is the most popular destination for immigrants but it's not necessarily the best place for someone with financial pressures. The cost of living there is quite high. The same can be said for the second-most popular destination, Vancouver. Actually, most large cities in Canada have a high cost of living. The Maritime provinces of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Prince Edward Island have lower costs of living. That is what you should base your choice of destination on, whether you can afford to live there or not, both before you find work and after. You may also want to look for areas where there are others from your country so that you have some familiar cultural supports.
Dear Janfrn,
I have my cousin in toronto but we were thinking not to be a concern for them. We wanted to start something on our own. Survial for the fittest.
We can start to live anywhere its ok for us.
Thankyou for your wonderful input..indeed it will help us a lot..
