Hello all.

I will be a new grad soon but right before i get my diploma i have to complete 240 hours of a preceptorship. We get to choose where we want to complete it. The only rule is it has to be within an hour of our school. Unfortunetly I will moving right after graduation so I wont be abe to take a job where i do my preceptorship.

Anyway, I was wondering what you guys think about me doing my preceptorship at Shriners hospital in CIncinnati? Do you think it would be too much? We also have a great childrens hospital. I am moving to Columbus and they dont have a seperate burn hospital there..so...who knows....

i guess i don't understand your dilemma.

is shriner's within an hour from your school?

we have a shriner's hosp here in boston and their reputation is phenomenal.

shriner's is known nationwide for their specialty.

if able, i would definitely aim for shriner's.

much luck to you.

My dilemma is where I want to do my preceptorship. Normally I would choose a hospital in which I would like to work after I graduate. According to my advisor if you do well in your preceptorship the hospital will offer you a job. Unfortunetly I am moving right after graduation to a different city. There is a Shriners hosptial in the city I live in right now and i'd really like to go there but the city I am moving to does not so I guess it doesnt seem that practical to me.

I have to decide in the next few weeks which hospital I would like to go to and what specialty id like. Shriners sounds great but im still thinking about it.
