Preceptor Link & Clinical Match Me

Nursing Students NP Students

As a relatively new nurse, I have few contacts with potential preceptors and intend on utilizing a service to find my preceptors. Obviously, these are costly and was wondering if there was anyone who had utilized either of these services with success or not success.

Of course, the website has some reviews, but I have been unsuccessful in finding many.

Do not use preceptor point. I am sure a lot of people have had acceptable experiences with them but if you have issues they are unwilling to work with you and basically tell you that you are S.O.L. The preceptor messed up the application she sent me to submit. The school rejected it and said it needed to be resubmitted. Peceptorpoint informed me I had to let them remedy the problem and I would not get my 2000$ back because the school hadn't completely denied the application. I have another preceptor at this point and the school is sending me an email denying the application which I will forward to Prectorpoint. The experience has been beyond a nightmare. This is the application I was sent to submit

I used MatchNP because they were more affordable.  My take on this is that without them I would have to sit out again because my area has a big PA and MD student population from 3 different Universities.  I was competing with students from those programs for a clinical site.  Those MD and PA programs pay the offices to precept their students. That was confirmed by the practices that I reached out to.  Needless to say MatchNP was cheaper than the rest and the quality of the rotation was excellent.  I graduated and passed boards.
