I took all my prerequisite classes in one semester, it was tough, but not impossible. My BEST advice is just form study groups in your classes. IF you are entering a lottery system you might get in on your first try. I got into my program in the bay area on my first try so it is possible. Good luck on pursing your degree:)

Woah.... How on earth did you do all prerequisites in one semester? That would be 32 credits of prerequisites for my university... In one semester!?
I took Chem and English 300 in Jan 2010 at ARC!
Then I thought I could take A&P1 in summer at ARC. No Bueno.
I couldn't get into A&P1 for fall, so I had a semester off. I tried adding And the instructor wouldn't entertain the idea.
Took micro Spring term at Folsom.
Took A&P1 at Folsom the next spring. Along with engl critical thinking and medical terminology.
Started LVN school and finished my A&P and nutrition and psych at Sac State.
I'm now back where I started in ARCs RN program. I like ARC.

Hey everyone!
I'm pretty new to this thread. I'm a pre-Nursing student right now...I feel like everyone I come in contact with school is doing Nursing.
I still need to do my Chem, AP, and Micro, and I will be able to apply. Is there any advice for these classes? I have a couple of friends who are suggesting I take these classes by themselves so I can get the A in them. While the counselor says not to worry about it.
I'm def not a straight A student, and I really have to work to get my good grades, and grasp concepts, but that doesn't stop me.
However, at times I feel slightly discouraged as I know it takes awhile to get in, but there are times when I know the wait will be worth it. I just hope I get in the first, or second try.
Any advice?
I live in the greater Sacramento area...and I planned on applying to Arc, Scc, Sierra, Chico, Delta...
