If it does not specify a science letter of recommendation I would get your Speech professor to write you letter of recommendation. It is better to have a good letter of recommendation than an average/bad letter of recommendation. I am a second degree student and had my undergraduate director write my letter of recommendation (I had her for two classes and she oversaw my independent study) because she knew me well and I knew I could get a personalized, letter of recommendation. My second letter of recommendation came from my place of employment. GOOD LUCK!!!

Hi, I'm trying to apply to nursing school for UIC, Resurrection University and NIU.
I've been trying to get recommendation letters from science professors, but it's impossible to get a hold of them, and unfortunately I was a average B student in science courses. Currently I have a GPA of 3.53.
My speech professor was very nice to offer the recommendation letter, but I heard that it's better to be a science course.
I don't think my science professors would write me a good recommendation letter, but my speech professor definitely would.
Thank you.
