Hello everyone

So I'm having a dilemma In order for me to apply for the nursing program I had to take 5 classes for fall 2011 I'm taking 5 in the spring...and Im planning on taking summer classes...So i have the classes all planned out of what I'm going to take just wanted some insight on if you guys think it's doable or not..

Summer 1

CHEM

ENGLISH 102

Summer 2

A&P 1

ELECTIVE

Fall 2012

A&P2

MICRO

NURSING COURSE

It may seem totally crazy but Im hoping I can pull it off

If you work part-time or not at all ...totally doable, no question. If you work full-time ...well, it's doable, but it will be rough. Just my lovely opinion though.

my prof said it is not advisable to take micro and a & P 2 at the same time.....i am an A student....so i didnt......he siad it is doable...but time consuming....i listened...i just got done a & p 2 with a 97..now on to micro...and hopefully the RN program in the fall...

Yes I'm working part time overnight..so normally I have a chance to study through out my shift..Have you already taken those courses yet?

O ok..I think its one of those Hit and misses...how are you doing in Micro?

Well, that's pretty awesome that you get extra study time at work. And no, I haven't ...I start with Anatomy next semester.

Mom2josh makes a good point that I didn't even notice and that you should certainly consider. It is also advised at my school not to take Physio (which I think is the equivalent of A&P II) and Micro together. If you have to, yeah, it's doable ...but it's going to be a lot of work and dedication on your part. You know yourself better than any of us. If you're absolutely determined and willing to put in the time, you can still do well taking both.

I am jealous of your part-time job AND that you can study there :p

Good luck with whatever you choose.

I would kick English and the elective for fall. Other than that, doable. (I did something similar this year)

Specializes in Public Health.

last spring i took 19 cr. apII, micro, ancient lit(writing intensive), anthropology, and intro to algebra all while working FULL TIME and still had time for two vacations and weekly movie nights with my bf.

its definitely possible...imo ap II and micro complemented eachother nicely

oh and i got one B+ in micro because i was ill during an exam (i.e. came straight from urgent care on pain meds to the test) and a B in math bc i suck at math. But i got A's in all the other classes
