If you had a choice.....

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

If you had a choice, would you become an LPN first or do the RN first. Is it beneficial to do the LPN to RN. For those of you who have done it this way, do you regret it?

I would only do the LPN if I was in need of having a job and money faster. If not I would do RN and i would do BSN. I am getting my BSN right now. It will provide me with more opportunity for advancement, some hospitals do pay BSNs more. And I can get my masters someday and become a supervisor or become a midwife and open my own birth clinic.

I currently work at a hospital and I was told by a CNA that the LPN's start with the same grade that I have now!!! So..... I don't know what to do, because I'll be getting paid the same but at the same time I'll be getting experience and doing something I so much want:uhoh21: but on the other hand , the LPN's at the hospital I work at work so much harder than I do, who wants to work harder and not get compensated for it? I'll make up my mind soon enough or I'll loose my mind :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
