I just got my NET scores back :(

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Hey all

I took my NET about a week and a half ago and I just got my scores today. My math was 94% but my reading comprehension was only 47%, giving me a 71% composite. :o I'm so upset with myself, and I'm really wondering if I will even be able to get into any nursing school. I have a 4.0 will all my pre-reqs done, but I don't know if that will even help any. I would appreciate any advice or possibly stories of hope. Thank you so much for your help!

The NET test is pretty simple the second time, if you dont do well your first time. I went in unprepared and didnt do my best because you have no idea what to expect. You will be very surprised. I was. The only study guide I really recommend is the study guide for the NET, HESI, HOBIT. Really read through it and take it all in and just remember the reading. Its not rocket science. They are only asking what the questions ask. Not what if? Just the plain answer. Read the question and read the summary. You will get it.. Its like 5th grade stuff when you realize it. And math, just practice what is in the booklet study guide and you will do fine.. Breath, relax.. you got this one..

Thanks so much for the encouragement and replies :). Is there any other material besides the study guide provided by ERI (Study Guide for the NET, HOBET, and HELP) that I could study? Possibly any websites that offer practice?

Here are some Web sites that I used:

if you REALLY dont think you did that poorly, what about asking for a "recheck/correction" what ever it would be called...

I found it very helpful to pay $15 to take the online practice test from Eriworld, the people who write the NET. It's shorter than the actual test, but it's timed and it's the same sort of questions you'll see on the NET. Here's the click:

Scroll down to the bottom of the second page of that category until you see the NET practice test product.

I also agree with another poster. If you think there's no way you did that poorly on the reading, then you can ask for a re-score. I can't remember if it costs $25 or $50 to have them re-score your test.

Best of luck!
