FSCJ Spring 2018 hopefuls

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

The Fall 2017 came out last week so I thought I would start the Spring 2018 hopefuls thread. Did anyone email the program to ask what they could improve for the spring? I was advised to retake my Hesi A2 and finish my AA. I will finish my AA this summer and plan to retake m Hesi in Aug. I think we are going to do a Hesi study group in the month of July too. There is also a facebook group started as well. Good luck everyone.

Yes you get your scores as you take the test, and the total at the end.

Hey everyone, so I emailed them once again to get the details on the new application. She told me you do not have to do a new application, only the rubric has changed. She said that you do have to take the entire HESI A2, but only the reading, grammar, vocabulary, and math section are used in the rankings. Hope this clears things up.

Do you know for sure if we'll need a 75% on all of the subjects, or at least the ones that are listed? I take my exam this Tuesday and I'm hoping I won't really have to worry at all about the sciences.

I think you need a 75% overall. And then the 4 subtests reading, grammar, vocabulary, and math are the ones that actually get ranked.

Make Sure everyone joins the FB Group FSCJ 2018 Spring Hopefuls

Hello,

I am also applying for the Spring 2018 term. I was sending in my application yesterday when I noticed the difference in the HESI subtests needed. Can someone please give me the correct email for the nursing program? The one I have appears to be inaccurate. I am also wondering about the 75% on the subtests part. Do we need a cummulative 75%, 75% on each subtest, or 75% on each of the required subtests they are looking for?

Thanks! And good luck to everyone!

hey everyone! I'm applying as well! Just saw the new application. I've had so many issues with my transcripts but luckily it is being resolved day by day. I wish everyone luck. Does anyone know exactly how long the program is without the prereqs (since we should have them done)? I'm on a timeline my husband is in the military and we are only stationed here for so long. Good luck!

The program is about A year in a half. Starting in Spring-Summer-Fall-spring. We should be done April 2019. The program is 4 terms long.

Hey guys! I'm so happy I found this thread! I just received my receipt confirmation for my application submission, and I'm so excited. Also, is the new rubrick/scoring system they posted true and final? Cuz im really hoping it wont change in the coming days :) I calculated my points and I think I have 150 points. I don't know what their cutoff point is--does anybody here know? :) xxxxx

Wow the max points you can get is 160 so that means you did very very well and your chances are looming absolutely great!!

Thank you so much! I thought that the max points is 200+ something. I'm glad to know! Also, I have a question, cuz FSCJ won't email me back lol theyre probably swamped. Do I need to submit transcripts if I already did back when I first applied to FSCJ? I got my AA at FSCJ too.

No, if they already have your transcripts you don't have to resubmit them; I asked the same question last week.
