The Fall 2017 came out last week so I thought I would start the Spring 2018 hopefuls thread. Did anyone email the program to ask what they could improve for the spring? I was advised to retake my Hesi A2 and finish my AA. I will finish my AA this summer and plan to retake m Hesi in Aug. I think we are going to do a Hesi study group in the month of July too. There is also a facebook group started as well. Good luck everyone.
Could someone please send me the packet as well? Also is anyone finishing their prereqs this fall? I have microbiology left to take and I am wondering how that will interfere with the application process. An advisor at the North Campus told me that I just wont have microbiology added to my overall score, but I don't know how that will work. My email is [email protected] Thank you!
You can apply to the program without having taken Microbiology as long as you are enrolled in the upcoming or current Micro course and you have it done before the nursing program starts. The downside is that you won't have a grade for it when you apply, so it makes you less competitive as you'll be missing the points you could have added to your total score. Does that make sense?
Hello can someone please also send me the information as well. [email protected] I am also planning on applying for the spring for the nursing program. I was currently at Chamberlain but their 8 weeks goes by way too fast for me to retain the information and to actually know it instead of memorizing it. So I'm giving fscj a try
So I finally was able to calculate my points. Does anyone know what the possible cut off is or what it was for fall. Also how many seats will be available. I am go finishing up my last pre reqs of humanities course this fall all others are complete and I plan to retake my hesi as well sometime in the next 2 weeks.
Ok I got the Facebook group created it is under FSCJ Spring Hopefuls. I uploaded the current Application as well as the point calculation spread sheet from one of the other groups. I hope that helps. I am happy to see that there is 140 seats, gives me a little more hope. The point cut off for the fall was around 220, I know friends that got in at 224 and some that was on the waist list at 216. From what I understand that fall is the hardest to get in. I finished up my AA this summer as well as turned in my Spring Application today.
