Hello everyone,
I was just wondering would you take a class if you got less than a 3.5, like a 3.3 in a science class. Also would it be okay if you were taking A&P2 with Microbiology? What would you do? I'm in Washington state and wondering what I should do, or just take one science class at a time and if I were to take the A&P2 with Micro, those would be the only classes during that quarter!
Hi, I will be taking two sciences for both the Fall and Spring semesters if not then it will delay my entrance into NS. I know what's at stake so i know I have to do my best and from reading earlier posts I know it can be done!!
Same here almost.. :) For my pre reqs I only need both A&P and both GOBC courses, The GOBC I am taking this summer. So next fall and spring I will be taking A&P with Microbiology ( which is a co-req )
It is possible to take both sciences just a lot of studing.
I agree with the general consensus. You have to look to see what kind of a student you are. If sciences are more difficult for you, then you may want to make your decisions based on that. However, if you get conceptual science pretty well and you are willing to put in the hours it takes, then two sciences may be good for you. I took Bio (A) and Chem (B) together, then took Phsyio(A) and Ochem (A) together and it worked great for me.
I have 4 kids under the age of 10 and I will be finishing this semester on Tuesday; I have taken both anatomy and microbiology. It goes without saying that I have been totally overwhelmed, but I did it! I should end up with an "A" in anatomy and a "B" in micro. I'm hoping that since I made it through relatively well, I'll be able to handle nursing school. Good luck!!
It's totally doable but can become somewhat confusing. I took both Chemistry and General Bio in the same semester got an A in Chem and a B in General Bio. The second semester I took both A&P 1 and Micro in the same semester got a C (not proud of it) in A&P and a B in Micro. So as long as you stay focused and study you should do fine. I read a thread posted by a girl who took both A&P 1 and 2 in the same semester and got an A in both.(Although I'm not sure how that's possible seeing as how here A&P 1 is a prerequisite for A&P 2)
Anyway, whatever you decide to do I wish you the best of luck. But don't take on more than you can handle. Wouldn't want you get burned out!
