I am considering going back to school to get my nursing degree. Lots of reasons: # 1 schedule (want to be able to have more days off, put in more time on the days I do work), the pay seems to be better than my design degree, flexibility in career options, lots of jobs out there and in cities (if my husband moves around), AND of course I love the science of nursing and people.
Help! I need advice. Is this something I should do?
If so, do I get my Accelerated 2nd Degree BSN? or just ASN right now (because it is way cheaper) and get my BSN shortly after school??? Or is the RN to BSN expensive too?

Welcome to AN! The largest online nursing community!
Browse the site......there is a TON of information about these subjects. I would go for the accelerated BSN as the increasing trend in the saturated nursing market is for BSN only for new grads. There are NOT plenty of jobs as the nursing shortage is non existent right now. The job market is tough out there and the schools are not telling the grads the truth....but on the average it takes about 10 months to get a job and there is an alarming number of new grads that are still looking 18 months after graduation.
I wish you the best.

I agree with the previous post. You have your bachelors. What you will learn in the other 2nd degree bachelors program is what generic BSN students learn and then you will go onto your masters without having to reapply once you take your NCLEX.
thats so awesome

With already having your Bachelor's you could go for your RN-BSN with some prerequisites knocked out first. Good luck!
