Hello!
I would appreciate some honest advice. I have been working as an RN,BSN for 21 years, practiced in the surgical intensive care unit at a major acute care facility, became a manager after 2 years as staff nurse in the ICU, also worked in the LDR, and now home care.
I am so disappointed in my college GPA of 2.7 (graduated in 1987). If I knew then what I know now!! I am prayerfully considering grad school ( online FNP program). I plan to take the MAT and believe that I will fair pretty well. I feel confident that I can handle graduate school, but seem to be facing discouragement by most of the admission requirements of a 3.0 GPA.
I am impressed with Frontier so far--?
Does experience and professional success factor into the admission equation??
Thanks,
Tammy

I don't know about your particular school, but I found that my high GRE score and my recent coursework with A's combined with my experience made up for my GPA from when I was 20. :)
My advice would be to start taking a course maybe through a CC that would be beneficial (you can look at all the prereqs on their website usually) so you can demonstrate that you are more focused and able to successfully complete their program.
Good luck!
