Hey yall I thought I would start a thread for those of us about to start the ADN program at PRCC!

So come in, tell us about yourself and lets get this semester started!

Can't believe its time! Have studied the stuff, but don't feel 100% on it! I am already stressing! Scared & excited!

Ya'll study the conversions: mg to g, tsp to cups, mL to oz, gr to g, ect. on that handout!!!! Know the differnce between the sign for drams and ounce (look similar). This was our material for the first dosage test and will ALWAYS come up on tests from 1st semester on. As for abbreviation, no you won't have to know all at first but def. memorize following before class : with ©, before meals (ac), after meals (pc), nothing by mouth (npo), penicillin (PCN), no known allergies (NKA), patient (pt), every (q), q.i.d., q.h., 3 times a day (t.i.d.) twice a day (b.i.d.), drop (gtt), hour of sleep/bedtime (h.s.)

I got holes punched in the syllabus and I have it in the notebook. How much reading have you done?

Put mine in binder too. Have read Ch 2, student handbook, & MS BON Law & Reg! Plan on reading more chapters tonight. Are you taking Forum?

So how are you feeling today? I was a bit overwhelmed today and my hand was hurting, but I am okay now that I have food in my stomach.

Overwhelmed & tired! :yawn: Highlighted book instead of taking notes, so hand OK! I couldn't imagine having to pile A&P onto this other mess! Just have to take micro this summer! If I survive! ;)
