Prairie View Spring 2014 Applicants

Published

Anyone else applying to Prairie View for Spring 2014 semester? How far are you in the process? Just wanted to make a thread for us to support each other along the way. Good luck to all the applicants!

You are right Lauren, however you have been accepted to Lonestar. Congratulations

I wasn't accepted to Lonestar nursing program. I didn't apply.

Anyone know what a typical school schedule would be like? How many days a week, what hours?

My friend goes Monday,Tuesday and thursday. M and T is from 8 to 4, and Th she has clinical's from 9 to 9. I don't know if us going to be the same for us if we get in the program.

Are any of you CPR certified?

Thanks Moneca! Yes Lauren, I'm CPR certified. I had to get all my shots and CPR certification when I took a Phlebotomy course this summer.

thanks lalacb123 ! I'm not sure if i should wait until I get accepted or go ahead and take it? any advice??

Yes, get it out of the way. They expire after two years, so it wouldn't hurt. One less thing to worry about, you know? And you WILL get accepted! Think positive!

Sorry Lauren, I was confusing you with somebody else. Lalacb123 do you know where I can take the CPR classes that are not too expensive? And can you tell me the shots that we need; I have some of them! Thank you :)

I went through Therapeutic Professionals. It was $55.00. I'm sure there are cheaper classes though.

All the shots I got was to participate in Phlebotomy clinicals. I'm not sure if PV has different shot requirements. I got the Hep B series, measles, mumps, reubella, TB...that's all I can remember.

Thank you lalacb123 :)

No problem. Just make sure you get started on your Hep B vaccine series. It takes about 6 months to complete unless you do the fast track option.
