Hello everyone.
I have been searching for conferences/conventions/symposiums for practitioners in the Baltimore/DC area. In particular, I have heard in passing from some NP students that there are conferences that teach/practice suturing-- however, no one knows what the organization is or where, ect.
(I would also be interested in ANY conference that is geared toward physicians, PAs, and NPs.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks-
KJ

I would check with the Emergency Nurses Association (ENA). I believe at their annual national conference they have a suturing course for NPs - but the conference location changes yearly - I'm not sure where it is this year. Check their Web site, www.ena.org - you might find info on there.
Also, check the AANP Web site - they might do something similar at their national conference. www.aanp.org
Looks like the AANP will have it at their conference in June, but it's in Arizona.
that's great. thank you softballmama. The AANP conference has EKG and suturing; both of which, as a student, I need practice with. Have you ever been to an AANP conference?

The AAPA conference will be in Atlanta in May. In your area the VAPA conference is in Virginia Beach in July with lots of workshops:
