Unless your cousin is a US sitizen, or has a green card; they do not qualify for a green card with LPN after their name. It must be RN to meet immigration requirements.
This is what I am trying to tell you. The LPN license from the Philippines will be of no use to them whatsoever for working in the US.
what i know is that.. those who had a practical nursing course can take the nclex-pn.. then if they passed that and the english exam/s, they can apply for visa screen.. i need some clarifications... thanks a lot..
what healthcare professions does ichp certify? under the current bureau of citizenship and immigration services (bcis) regulations, ichp can certify registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech language pathologists and audiologists, medical technologists, medical technicians and physicians’ assistants.
ICHP can certify whom ever they want, but US immigration will not issue a green card to an LPN. The only way that they have gotten them is if they completed an RN program, and passed the CGFNS exam, but were unable to pass the NCLEX-RN exam, then yes, they can get certified. But they need to be a graduate of an RN program, the BSN, from your country.
I am only trying to be helpful, and telling you what immigration does. They are the ones that handle visas, CGFNS/ICHP has nothing at all to do with visa processing.
hi! i'm wondering if PN graduates here in the philippines can work there in the US given that they pass the NCLEX-PN and the CGFNS exam and only if what their applying for is a working visa?
Houston, we have a problem!

Unless you are already a US citizen, have a US green card or have another means of obtain that green cared (marriage to a US citizen, etc) you WILL NOT be able to qualify for a green card by becoming an LPN.
Even if you take the NCLEX-PN....
The requirement for a green card are the RN. Please don't be taken in by those unscrupulous LPN schools popping up all over the country. Many of them are 'bending the truth' and 'banking on technicalities' (eg one semester in the US, school acredited by a US state BON, etc) to fool students. It is a shame really as folks work so hard for the money to attend school.
Make sure you attend one of the many fine BSN-RN schools in the Philippines.
Unless you are an RN you will not be able to get your green card based soley on your training.
Remember, slow and steady wins the race. Even if it takes you another 4-5 years you will get here if you take your RN course, study hard, improve your communication and clinical skills and do the proper paperwork. Don't listen to the rumors and gossip (retrogression, immigration ban, new laws, etc). Always get the facts. They will need immigrant nurses in the US for YEARS to come!
Good luck/Good fortune to you.

there is no such thing as a working visa for an lpn in the us. it does not meet educational requirements. the us has plenty of lpns, what there is a shortage of is rns. doesn't matter if you take the ncl$ex-pn, there is no one that con offer you a job.
