Cost will depend on the state you apply to and then when you try CA then they will have their own costs.
You can not apply to CA without a US SSN.
Jobs in CA are difficult to find or get as it is a desirable state to work in where demand is lower than the nurses available to work.
How are you waiting to transfer from Canada to the US?
We're planning on waiting a year before i move to california. Will you recommend applying to a different state then endorse it to california state when i have the SSN in the later part? Or you recommending not to move to california at all? Which state will you recommend tho? Thankyou. :)
CA is one of the hardest states as a IEN to get registered in. Most if not all IENS are asked to make up courses. I can't recommend as I live in Canada not the US. The main issue I see is what visa you are getting that allows you to live and work in the US as I thing that will be a stumbling block
I have a partner in the US and we're planning on getting married nextyear, i'm just wondering if maybe i can do the application for ca bon, then submit the ssn afterwards. But, with what i have read i think it's not possible. I'm thinking on applying in nevada bon, and endorse it to ca when i have ssn. how's things going in there? Anyone? thanks.
California. But we're still planning on doing our wedding nextyear. So there's no way that i can apply without my SSN. That's why im planning in applying on another state and have it endorse to CA when I already have my SSN. Any suggestions in state that SSN is not a requirement? Thanks!

Hi, I am currently a holding permanent resident here in canada and planning/wanting to transfer to the united states to be closer with my partner. I am a registered nurse in the philippines and didn't go with the process of the assessment here in canada, very expensive and will take a lot of time considering that US is my/our target. Now my question is we're planning on settling in california
- will i be able to apply CA BON even without SSN but will eventually get it sooner like in a year (still planning for the wedding)
- or will you suggest that i apply on a different state first and endorse it to CA when it's complete? If yes,
- which state will you suggest that will be easy to apply without a SSN requirement
- how much will it cost me to apply board of nursing in the US
- is it worth it to move to US and leave canada? how's everything going in the US? Employment, people, gov't?, taxes, healthcare?
Sorry for asking too much I am just a little lost if we should pursue US or just do the assessment here in canada. Please help. Any comment will be highly appreciated. Thankyou! :)
