I turned to an.com due to a med error in my very first clinical....gave a fiber powder to a resident that the nurse had prepared. the HORROR!
Now, as I mark this milestone, I am changing fields to telemetry nursing. Leaving a old group of work friends and turning to ones that I am looking forward to knowing.
I LOVE my job, even when the families make it tough. when I leave, the patients usually forget my name and turn me into the other guy I work with.
I hope that 3000 posts from now, you are where you want to be. I'm sure I have a much longer post in me somewhere, but I have worked the last 3 nights and am looking forward to go snuggle with my wife and my puppy. See you sometime after sunset.
ok, I am a dude...as so mentioned. Also, I thought it had edited out right afterwards...I was so tired I read 2299 as 2999. Regardless, thanks for all the support, and to Old nurse educator...the fiber powder was during my very first clinical, when I had NO exposure to anything in nursing yet. I never said it wasn't a mistake...but looking back it was pretty minor.

You are probably correct; however, same sex couples are currently allowed to join in a civil union/marry in some areas of the United States as well as in other nations such as Canada and the UK. So, this nurse is not necessarily a "dude" simply because they mentioned having a wife. Just sayin'. . .
Now, back to the topic. . .
