I am a charge nurse in a telemetry unit. In the past, while on a travel assignment, I used a simple device that utilized double sided tape to post telemetry strips. I would like to introduce these devices to my unit, as we are currently using scotch tape or the "pull-off" type of strips (on pre-printed rhythm sheets). I hate either of these options. I have searched the web, and have not been able to find such a device. Can anybody out there provide a name or manufacturer of such a device?
How do you post strips on your telemetry unit?

We use big tubes of stick glue. Easy enough, until you screw up and cannot get it off.

We use scotch tape to post our strips. Also use the pull off strip sheets too, but our strips are not wide enough and therefore do not cover the whole sticky area causing pictures to stick together.
Monoadhesive might be what you are looking for.

I work on a tele unit too and we use the pull of strip thingys too. But I have an idea.....I do some scrapbooking in my *spare* time (ha!) and I have a little thing that's double sided tape for that, but it's in a dispenser like white out comes in. The new kinda white out that's not in the bottle, but in the little roller type thingy. Check a craft/scrapbooking store!

we too use double stick tape and it works well. I think the tape we use is scotch...

Yes, we have the same problem with the pull off strips. I can't stand them! The strip doesn't cover the page, and then the pages stick together.
Do you use the double stick tape by itself, or do have a special dispenser? When I traveled at the University of Wisconsin Hospital they had a dispenser that allowed you to place the strip directly on the double sided tape, and then reipit off and mount it. Worked like a charm! I'd sure like to know where to get one of those dispensers.
You might have something there!
Not a bad idea, either! Might give it a try. Could be a bit expensive though, when compared to the price of tape.

When we used tape we found that going back a few months later the tape had become opaque, so you could not see the vital signs that landed under the tape. Some people like glue sticks, I lay out the strips on the photocopier and make a copy of the whole group at once, then label the paper.
Yes, we also have seen that fading with scotch tape. Our medical records department would prefer we not use it. But, right now, its what most of us use. I try not to cover anything of importance with the tape. I would, however, prefer to use double sided tape with a dispenser designed for the purpose. That way, there's no tape to fade on the strip. Copying is not really an option for us. It would take far too much time for all of us to use the copy machine, besides copies are never as clear as the originals (could be a legal liability as well).
