Yale MSN- GRE

Nursing Students Post Graduate

Published

hello,

I just want to know, for those who applied, what was your GRE when you apply to Yale MSN/FNP program? Thanks for your time in advance.

Specializes in EMS, ED, Trauma, CEN, CPEN, TCRN.

Moved to the post-grad forum (vs. the GN forum) to encourage responses.

I too was wondering this question. Yale is so prestigious and I was not sure what the applicant pool consisted of as there are no stats posted anywhere.

I would also love to know. Do any previous applicants or students feel comfortable sharing this?

The FAQ section of their website says:

While we have no official GRE minimums, we consider a score of 500 on the verbal and quantitative sections and 4.0 on the Analytical Writing to be competitive. However, applicants are neither accepted nor denied solely based on GRE scores.

But it would be great to hear from some real people.

This is from the Yale GEPN (not MSN) thread last year (https://allnurses.com/post-graduate-nursing/yale-gepn-applicants-496014-page19.html):

"Average GRE breakdown of Yale GEPN students is:

Verbal - 580

Quantitative - 630

Analytical Writing - 5.0

Average GPA is 3.47 and minimum GPA is 3.2"

Yes, Yale is a very prestigious school. But it seems like getting in is about on par with any of the highly ranked nursing schools...
