Marquette Direct Entry MSN 2018

Nursing Students Post Graduate

Published

Hey guys, I didn't see a thread for Marquette's direct entry MSN program for fall 2018 so I figured I'd start one. I just submitted my app for the PP location today for their spring admission, but I am also applying to Marquette's traditional program for fall 2018. Do they review applications based off date submitted or date verified?

Hope to start school with some of you soon!

Still haven't heard anything. Anyone know how many spots are left and when the rest of us will hear something? Congrats to all that got in!

Hey guys.. I submitted my application in October and I think my recommendations were turned in by November 15th. I still have not heard anything. I emailed the admissions office and they said that they couldn't give me an exact timeline for decision making as they are reviewing application in waves. As a Biology major, I did take a lot of prerequisites part of my major and I did fine in them. As far as experience goes, I was never a CNA or Tech but I volunteered in an ER, and also did my internship there. As an international student in a small town my options were sort of limited since I didn't have a way of commuting to other places. I also worked as a dietary aide and currently I am working as a dietary clerk in the same hospital. As a clerk I work very closely with the nurses and dieticians at the hospital and I am constantly interacting with patients via phone and in person.

From my understanding there is a lot of acceptances already and I am getting kind of anxious that I have not heard. Marquette is my first choice!! Anyone else on the same boat as me ?

I'm still waiting to hear back too apa1994. My app was complete on 10/25 and I still haven't gotten an answer. I have already reached out to them regarding th e status of my application and I am hesitant to do so again. I'm getting really antsy though and kind of just want a response at this point so that I can plan out the rest of my year. If I don't hear anything in two weeks or so I'm probably going to reach back out to them. I have no idea how many seats are left though :(

Congrats to everyone that's heard back and accepted! Still no updates here :( submitted the first week of December then had a bad interaction with Karen Nest over prereqs I'm taking. Fingers crossed to hear something soon

Hey Nicolabeans, Did you visit Karen in person ?

So for some odd reason I am not able to reply to you directly....I totally understand getting angsty because we turned in our application earlier. I am not sure how the whole decision making process works. I am guessing that they are doing it by chunks so maybe they just haven't gotten to our applications yet ? I am praying that I hear from them soon ! From my understanding most grad schools reply by mid-March... I am hoping that I don't have to wait that long. I would really like to go to Marquette if I do get accepted there.

If this helps anything, I got an email along with other admitted students on the Milwaukee campus that was sent to 39 of us, so it seems like there is still hope if there are 56 spots in the program as the website says! I'm not sure about the current status of the Pleasant Prairie program

Thank you for letting us know !

Hey y'all. I applied to the Pleasant Prairie program for the Fall 2018 cohort and just received my acceptance notification today! I submitted my application on January 18th just before the first review. I'm very excited! I'm a Chicago native, though I plan on moving closer to PP/Kenosha sometime this spring. If anyone is looking for a roommate, let me know! Looking forward to getting to know you Pleasant Prairie folks!

Hi there! I am also relocating from Chicago and will be in the August 2018 PP cohort!

I did not -- I live in Seattle. I think I'm going to withdraw my application. I can't shake the bad impression of the school from that, it actually changed how I feel about the program. I just got accepted to my first choice this week and will most likely be accepting that offer. BUT I really hope that the rest of you that haven't heard back get good news!

Hi, I just got accepted into the August 2018 PP cohort and I will be relocating from Raleigh, NC! I'll be looking for a roommate so please feel free to reach out.
