Took A&P 1&2 prior to being accepted to nursing school. It was okay, the tests were pretty easy. Just be prepared to do a lot of reading and be self-motivated to get through it. I did not buy any of the books/supplemental materials and got A's in both classes. Haven't taken micro through them yet but I plan to over the summer.
Thank you so much for your help! How long did it take to complete the class for you?
I took about 3 months to complete each course, however, I also procrastinated a bit and probably could have completed the courses in two months or less if I hadn't taken time off due to my full-time job and some traveling I did.
This helps so much! One more thing.. any advice on how to prepare for the lab and lecture exams?
The lab exams are open book. So, take as many notes as you like while you watch the lab video and then you can refer to your notes during the exam. The tests are pretty easy as long as you can answer and understand all the practice questions sprinkled throughout each module. Tests were generally multiple choice, labelling, T/F, and matching although there were a couple of application questions as well I think. Again, as long as you prepare by answering the practice questions (which you're required to do anyway), you should be okay. Also, if there's anything you don't understand the instructors are really helpful and responsive to emails.
Hey have you taken the mircro and nutrition course. i need some feedback before i go ahead and sign up for it?

As far as I can tell, any university that accepts online classes (and while most accept lecture classes online, some don't accept on-line labs) will accept Portage, because it is accredited through Middle States via Geneva College. It's always best to check, of course. I've never been able to find a complete list of which colleges will accept credits from whom, though. I think universities want to keep their options open... plus, there are a LOT of schools out there!

Hi! I am going to be hopefully enrolling for my pre reqs through Portage Learning and was wondering if anyone has taken any classes through them? I am hoping to enroll in A&P 1&2 as well as Microbiology. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
